Hydraulic Connectors and Fittings: The Foundations of Leak-Free Systems
The quality of a hydraulic system is determined by its weakest link. Often, these are the connection points: pipe junctions, pump connections, or cylinder ports. The "Connectors" category at Hidraulika Store contains the building blocks of system construction. We offer thousands of standard (DIN, ISO, SAE) fittings and accessories, allowing any hydraulic connection to be realized professionally, safely, and leak-free.
Our selection is grouped by connection type and material:
-
Hydraulic Fittings (Cutting Ring Fittings): Our widest category. Here you will find fittings for connecting rigid hydraulic pipes (straight, elbow, Tee, cross), as well as adapters and reducers providing transitions between different threads (metric, BSP, UNF). The range also includes nuts, cutting rings, and plugs.
-
INOX (Stainless Steel) Fittings: Where corrosion resistance or hygiene is critical (e.g., food industry, chemical industry, marine), we recommend our fittings made of stainless steel.
-
Quick Couplers and Rotary Joints: For mobile and dynamic connections. Quick couplers allow for tool-free, drip-free connection and disconnection of circuits, while rotary joints prevent hoses from twisting during rotational movement.
-
Flanges and Pump Fittings: For high pressure and high flow. We offer SAE flanges (3000 and 6000 PSI) for high-pressure connections, as well as special pump fittings for the professional connection of gear pumps.
-
Pipe Clamps and Mounting: For vibration-free and organized pipe mounting, single and double pipe clamps are essential, increasing the lifespan of the system.

Hydraulic Connectors and Fittings: The Foundations of a Leak-Free System
The Critical Role of Fasteners in Hydraulics
The quality and reliability of a hydraulic system are often determined not by the most expensive pump, but by the smallest connector. The "weakest links" of any system are always the connection points: where pipes meet, where the hose connects to the machine, or where the valve block is plumbed in. A poorly chosen or low-quality fitting leads to oil leaks, pressure loss, and environmental pollution. The "Connectors" category at Hidraulika Store offers thousands of standard (DIN, ISO, SAE) hydraulic fittings, adapters, and mounting elements so you can create professional, leak-free connections.
Fittings and Adapters: A Solution for Every Thread
In the world of hydraulics, numerous thread standards exist (Metric, BSP "Gas", JIC, ORFS, NPT), which often cause headaches for maintenance personnel. The backbone of our offering is hydraulic fittings, which provide solutions for transitioning between these standards and connecting pipes.
-
Cutting Ring Fittings (DIN 2353): This is the industry standard for assembling precision steel tubes. The soul of the system is the cutting ring, which cuts into the pipe wall when the nut is tightened, creating an immovable and sealed connection.
-
Adapters and Nipples: These fittings (e.g., nipples, reducers, elbows, Tees) allow for the pairing of different thread sizes and types.
-
Sockets and Couplings: Simple but indispensable elements. For example, if two male pipe ends or hoses need to be connected, a female threaded "socket" is the solution. One of our most popular, universal products is the Socket (BSP) - (F-F) - G1/8, which solves joining tasks with simplicity and reliability.

Special Connectors: Quick Couplers, Rotary Joints, and Flanges
-
Quick Couplers: Essential accessories for mobile hydraulics. They allow for tool-free, fast, and drip-free connection and disconnection of hydraulic circuits (e.g., between tractor and trailer, or excavator and bucket). We offer both traditional ball-type (agricultural) and leak-free (flat-face) versions.
-
Rotary Joints: Used where a hose or machine part must rotate under pressure (e.g., cranes, excavators). They prevent the hose from twisting and failing prematurely.
-
Flanges: Where pressure and vibration are extremely high (e.g., over 300-400 bar), threaded connections can loosen. In such cases, SAE flanges (3000 PSI and 6000 PSI), secured with 4 bolts, provide the safe solution.
-
Pump Fittings: Special elbows and straight fittings designed to fit the standard ports of gear pumps.
INOX and Mounting Technology
-
INOX (Stainless Steel) Fittings: In the food industry, pharmaceutical industry, or marine applications, corrosion resistance is a basic requirement. Our acid-resistant (1.4571) fittings withstand even the most aggressive environmental effects.
-
Pipe Clamps: The biggest enemy of hydraulic systems is vibration, which causes fittings to loosen or pipes to crack. Pipe clamps with plastic inserts (polypropylene or aluminum) absorb vibrations and ensure organized pipe routing.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
How do I identify a hydraulic thread? You need a caliper for positive identification. Measure the outer diameter of the thread (if male) or the minor diameter (if female). Then, the thread type can be determined using a thread pitch gauge or by measuring the pitch. (e.g., M18x1.5 or G1/2"). If you are unsure, send a photo and dimensions to our colleagues!
-
What is the difference between Light (L) and Heavy (S) series fittings? For cutting ring (DIN) fittings, two different series can exist for the same pipe diameter. The L (Leicht - Light) series is designed for lower pressure and is more compact, while the S (Schwer - Heavy) series has thicker wall thickness and larger threads, thus withstanding higher pressure. Important: the two types are not compatible with each other!
-
Should I use sealing tape (Teflon tape) in hydraulics? For most modern hydraulic fittings, NO. Cutting ring, cone (JIC), and O-ring (DKO) connectors seal with metal-to-metal or rubber-to-metal contact. Pieces of Teflon tape can enter the system and clog valves. Exceptions may be tapered threads (e.g., NPT), but even there, we recommend liquid thread sealant instead.
