Pneumatics
Pneumatics: Compressed Air Automation and Control
Pneumatics is one of the cleanest, fastest, and safest technologies in modern industry. It uses compressed air to perform work and control tasks, whether for packaging machines, assembly lines, or workshop equipment. The "Pneumatics" category at Hidraulika Store offers a comprehensive solution ranging from air preparation and control valves to actuator cylinders.
Our selection is grouped according to the structure of a pneumatic system:
-
Air Preparation: The foundation of a reliable system is clean air. Here you will find filter-regulator units, lubricators, and pressure reducers that ensure the correct pressure and filtration of contaminants.
-
Connectors and Tubing: The circulation system. The most popular push-in fittings allow for the tool-free, instant assembly of PU and PA tubing. Additionally, traditional nut fittings, function fittings (e.g., flow controls), and quick couplers are available.
-
Valves: The controllers of the system. Our selection includes electrically controlled solenoid valves (e.g., 5/2, 3/2 directional valves), manually operated valves, as well as various mechanical and logic valves.
-
Cylinders: The working elements. We offer standard ISO profile and round cylinder actuators for implementing linear motion.

Pneumatics: Compressed Air Automation and Components
The Advantages of Pneumatics in Modern Industry
Pneumatics utilizes the energy of compressed air for motion and control. This technology is one of the most widespread forms of industrial automation because it is clean, fast, explosion-proof, and easy to maintain. Whether it's a workshop air network, a packaging machine control system, or a robotic assembly arm, pneumatics is everywhere. The "Pneumatics" category at Hidraulika Store offers a comprehensive solution: from air preparation to control valves, connectors, and actuators, you will find everything in one place.
Air Preparation: The Foundation of System Reliability
The biggest enemy of pneumatic tools is untreated compressed air containing water (condensate), oil, and dust. These contaminants destroy valve seals and cylinder surfaces. The solution is using professional air preparation units (FRLs):
-
Filters and Water Separators: Remove solid particles and condensate.
-
Pressure Regulators: Set the optimal, stable operating pressure for the machine, reducing energy consumption.
-
Lubricators: Mist lubricant into the air for rotating tools (e.g., impact wrenches).
-
High-Efficiency Filters: Micro-filters are essential for sensitive equipment (e.g., painting, food industry). Our outstanding product is the OIL-X Filter - 0.01 micron - G1/4 - Auto Drain, built on Parker Domnick Hunter technology, which provides practically oil-free, technically clean air, protecting even your most expensive equipment.
Connectors and Tubing: Fast and Secure Connections
One of the great advantages of pneumatics is the speed of assembly.
-
Push-in Fittings: The most popular "Quick" connectors. Simply push the tube into the fitting, where a retaining claw holds it and an O-ring seals it. Assembled in seconds without tools.
-
Tubing: We offer PU (Polyurethane) or PA (Polyamide) tubing with calibrated outer diameters for push-in fittings in a wide range of colors and sizes. PU tubing is more flexible, while PA tubing withstands higher pressures and heat.
-
Other Fittings: Traditional nut fittings, function fittings (flow controls, silencers), and quick couplers for connecting air tools.
Pneumatic Valves: The Control
Valves control when and where the air flows, thereby moving the cylinders.
-
Solenoid Valves (Electric Directional Valves): The most common types in industrial automation. 5/2 directional valves control double-acting cylinders, while 3/2 directional valves control single-acting cylinders or air blow-off. You can also find corresponding solenoid coils and subplates in our selection.
-
Mechanical and Manual Valves: Lever, button, or roller-operated valves for simpler control tasks.
Discover our wide range and find the right control element in the pneumatic category!
Cylinders: The Actuators
The energy of compressed air is converted into linear motion by pneumatic cylinders. Our selection includes standardized ISO 15552 profile cylinders (the most common industrial standard) and smaller ISO 6432 round cylinders (mini cylinders). These are interchangeable with products from most manufacturers (Festo, SMC, Camozzi).
Why Order Pneumatics from Hidraulika Store?
Because for us, pneumatics is just as important as hydraulics. We stock the essential fittings, tubes, and valves to keep your machines running. Our experts help in selecting valve logic (e.g., monostable vs. bistable) and sizing air preparation units. Discover our full range of services on the hidraulikastore.com homepage!
Frequently Asked Questions
-
When should I use a lubricator in air preparation? Only if you are using pneumatic tools (e.g., impact wrench, air sander, old-style cylinder) that require lubrication. Most modern pneumatic valves and cylinders now have lifetime lubrication, so for them, clean, dry air is ideal; oiling is unnecessary or can even be harmful.
-
What is the difference between a 5/2 and a 5/3 valve? A 5/2 valve has two states (e.g., cylinder out / cylinder in). A 5/3 valve has a third, center position. This can be closed (the cylinder stops where it is) or exhausted (the cylinder becomes movable by hand).
-
Can I use hydraulic hose for pneumatics? Physically yes, but it is unnecessary and expensive. Hydraulic hoses are designed for much higher pressures than needed in pneumatics (max 10-16 bar) and are heavy and rigid. For pneumatics, PA/PU tubing or lightweight PVC air hoses are ideal.
